CUTTING EDGE DESIGN
The Plush Salon located in Pitampura, New Delhi Spread across an area of 2,015 sq. ft.. offers you the oppotunity to sit
back, relax and enjoy a wide range of hair and beauty treatments in the calm and creative ambience. each area has been
thoughtfully designed by interior designer Rahul Gupta of Design firm 9thcorner Inc.
"The Client was very specific about the salon's requirenment and demanded things like maximum utilization of space,
separate sections for man and women
focusing on end user requirement, easy-to-maintain interiors and a unique and attractice reception area. they also wanted
a staff area, a pantry and a storage room, however, completing everything within the budget was important." shares rahul
gupta
The firm has also been into designing salons for quite some time now. ask rahul what challenge he faced while crafting the
salon and he shares. "The biggest challange was the ceiling height which was barely nine feet with handing beams.
Another challenge was finishing off everything whithin the promised tenure of 90 days which made us work on our toes."

Five steps up the floor level, one notes a semi-circular reception desk which has a huge LED screen in front of it. A small
sofa setting has the capacity to accommodate about five to six guests. The striking feature of the reception area is its
ceiling where all possible international faces are stacked one next to the other showcasing their best look. Three glass
doors from the reception area will take you to separate sections where one is meant for the men's section, second for the
ladies section and the third one for a consulting room. As you step in the men's section, six cutting stations are lined
one next to another on the left and another three are lined on the right. Moving further, there are two shampoo stations
with shampoo variants placed on the bock panel. A specific pedicure are consisting of two pedicure chairs
lie just in front of shampoo stations. Moving ahead is the beauty treatment room on the left and gents washroom on the
right hand side. The Entire Men's section has been done up in shades of black, white and hint of red with earthy shades used for the rooms. a series of wooden planks cut in the form of waves have been used for the ceiling which makes an interesting and different illusion.
in case of any specific requirement, a frosted glass door connects this section with the ladies section.
